Svalbard Visa

Not a digital-nomad/remote-work destination, but definitely on the list of countries with interesting visa situations. It is technically a visa-free zone, but there is no way (to the best of my knowledge) to enter Svalbard without going through Norway and the Schengen area.

Once you're there you can live and work indefinitely regardless of citizenship, but (confusingly?) a lot of the conditions seem predicated on proving to Norway you can afford to live there.

I'm sure an entrepreneurial, digital-nomad type hell-bent on living near the North Pole could figure out a way to make it work.
