Calling something intuitive is lazy
When it comes to describing user interfaces, you should always make your case. Because x,y,z. A book. A convention we've agreed on and like.
An abstract, logical connection between a UI and a some metaphor, even done brilliantly, isn't intuitive just because you've made the connection.
Never be above teaching, never be above learning. Calling something intuitive without further elaboration is just lazy.
