Using Google Chrome to Split PDFs
• ~100 words • 0.5 minute read
Here's a neat trick I recently learned. Sometimes people ask me how to split PDFs. If you're on macOS it's fairly straightforward to do so with the Preview app that comes bundled with your Mac. If you're on a Windows machine and you don't have any Adobe tools installed I've always had a harder time giving a clear answer, until now.
This is what you do:
- Open the PDF in Google Chrome.
- Print the document and select Save as PDF as the destiantion/printer.
- In the Pages field deselect All and enter the ranges and individual pages you want from the PDF. (e.g. 2-6, 7, 9).
That's it!
Unfortunately this trick doesn't seem to work on iOS.
